How To Lose Weight After Giving Birth
When you’ve just had a baby, you can often find yourself so worn out from taking care of your new child that you don’t feel like doing anything, much less exercise. This means that it isn’t very likely that you will visit a gym or even go outside for walking or running. Plus, having a new baby means you need to be there for your child at all times. So not only do you not have motivation to work out, it’s hard to find time away to work out. You’ll be glad to know that, in this article, we will talk about a few things that you can easily do from home when you have the time (baby’s naptime is great for this) that will help you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight in no time at all. Don’t you want to keep reading? By the way, an outstanding way to lose unwanted pounds is by making highly nutritious smoothies with a Vitamix. There are a ton of great tasting Vitamix recipes too!
Leg Kicks: This is a fantastic workout both for strengthening your abs and raising your heart rate. You start this exercise by laying down on the floor and bending slightly at the waist (placing your body in pike position). With one leg bent to hold your balance, straighten your top leg and bring it forward as far as you can bring it. With your leg up in the air, move it so that it hovers over your bottom leg. Repeat this motion ten times without lowering your leg. Roll over and repeat with your other leg. Do three reps on each side and you’ll see results in no time.
Pilates: You might think pilates is slow but it will help you burn over two hundred calories every hour that you do it.
That is a lot of calories for doing only a few stretching movements. You can learn different kinds of moves by watching online videos, DVDs or reading books. Perhaps the best post natal exercise you can do if you want to lose weight is to lie on your back and bend your knees. Breathe in and put your hands behind your head. Then, as you contract your abs, lift your head and your shoulders off of the floor while you breathe out. Then extend your arms while keeping your palms down and lifting your legs into a 45 degree angle from your body (while keeping them straight). While you take a five beat inhale, pump your arms rhythmically. Then breathe back out for five beats. Try to do 100 of these and you’ll be in great shape in no time at all.
Air Bike: This post natal exercise begins with you lying down flat on your back and raising your knees and arms so that the left knee touches the right elbow and the right knee touches the left elbow. Then just keep going on each side. This is wonderful for burning lots of calories and it helps to strengthen your abs, which is very important to women who have just had babies.
There you have it. Those are best ways for any Mom to lose enough weight so that she can go back to her pre-pregnancy size. If you use these tips it shouldn’t take you a lot of time to fit back into your old clothing. Lastly, don’t forget to read our Vita Mix review.
