Uh … OK, someone on a rant. MTB costs are certainly not cheap, but neither are they a joke. Huge amounts of money go into R & D for the suspension design and technology alone … If you spend designing, your issuing permits for the design of which has the R & D. Add to that the rise hi-tech alloys to replace old standard CrMo and Al … even plain old carbon-carbon isn't anymore mtb companies spent huge amounts of money just research some carbon and laminates to make the most durable frames … Add to that the prevalence of Ti parts and the fact that more and more are being tricked out bike trail bikes, but with much more hi-tech frame and components and engine but still no way tech in general …. Dirt Bikes … all steel or aluminum, Tech for years … R & D is paid in this Please wait … I mean just look at the suspension. MTB you a world of different designs pressing the rear suspension … Dirt Bikes, single axle. Exactly where is the dirt bike tech on you feels is so much more expensive than whats on a mtb?
