Dual suspension MTB frame wanted.?
I know I can buy one online, on Ebay. Tried and failed. Not a big negotiater, thats why I asked for your help in finding a dual suspension xc mtb frame from a dealer who sells not only the frame and complete bike. Prefer a Specialized Stump Jumper, Jamis Dakar Series, Trek. Everyone knows of one such place. Tried JensonUSA, Price Point, Performance, Beyond Bikes, cycling and other major retailers. Any local shops that web pages can be ordered from? Would really appreciate it. I currently ride a GT I drive XCR400, obsolete, but new components. Just a newer frame, you know? Any comments would be appreciated become.
Jenson and Price Point have many frames …. you did not see one you liked? I bought an Intense 5.5 frame from Jenson a few weeks ago. Their selection is a bit low now, but a few months you should see themselves as old rocking-stocks have been liquidated in the market. Seems November through February, many new closeout frames available sales. Jenson has the connection with Jamis and the man she really blow them there when they have them. http://www.wheelworld.com is another good one and another is http://www.bobs-bicycles.com. Jenson is usually the best deals before anyone else, but only a few brands it seems. http://www.ride-this.com, and http://www.beyondbikes.com http://www.cambriabike.com I also do frames and would consider buying them in that order. You're not a Trek or specialized frame (or bike) for sale on the web to find, unless used by a private party. Also, most stores tied a contract they can not ship you a bike over the telephone …. You must be in the shop, or at least have to pay in person and then they the ship. As said, just about every manufacturer will sell frame sets of the models that they have … if not listed in their catalog just ask at the store. It is a different color and you may be limited in choices, but they do. Your local dealer can with it. Your store probably has access to some of the major bicycle parts distributors, so ask to look at their catalogs and see what they can get. This time of year, many out-of-stocks and you might have to wait for a frame for '09 instead …. bear that in mind. If you are interested, I have a '06 Trek Fuel EX9 Frame arrive that I have to find a home for. It is a big (5'10 "to 6'1 "is about right) and the carbon back ….. your choice of one (stock MC3) or Swinger 3-way rear suspension (4" travel bike). It has a scratch in the upper tube (cosmetics) and some chain-sucking bear, but the bike probably only 300 miles on the whole, fair. The Intense replaced. Here a picture what the frame looks like new …. shoot me a msg if'n ya want. The '08 and newer http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/2006/archive/fuelex9 Fuel EX's bikes are better (totally different linkage design), but the elderly are still fairly good. If you have a lot of rough edges descent, I would newer version or another type frame. For most XC trails the elderly do just great, though. Sorry, long after …. hope it helps you out some. : O)
