trek mountain bikes prices
Trek 4300 non-disc. Do you really pay the retail price at bike shops?
I am thinking about buying the Trek 4300 disc mountain bike and they do not want $ 529.99, which is recommended. I'm new to cycling and I'm not rich. $ 529.99 is a lot of money for me to shell out. Is this the norm in bike shops to get the price they can get MSRP are usually lower than that? Just wondering if I could be less or they would think I was a nut job? appreciate any info and if anyone owns this bike is particularly it worth it?
Not expect a big discount on the price of the bike. Bikes are sold on a much smaller margin than the parts and accessories. Also pull their bikes only sells through authorized Trek dealers. You can negotiate small discounts on the price of the bicycle, or sometimes bigger discounts on other purchases you make when you buy your bike. Remember, the dealer is responsible to deliver your bike properly fitted and adjusted, responsible for warranty issues, and help you fit your bike.
