Motorcycles have been around a lot longer than most people think. Howard Roper invented the first in 1867. It was powered by an innovative two-cylinder steam engine powered by coal but it was too slow, inconvenient and expensive to really catch on. The motorcycle time really began in America in 1903 when the first Harley Davidson was sold in Chicago for the rapid delivery of facilitate merchandise. This bike is fast, reliable and economical enough that it caught on. It also led to the search for a motorcycle jacket is protecting the rider from Wind, rain and leaks. Unfortunately, the sportbike motorcycle teknic jacket was not available.

Intrepid riders wore whatever they had. As roads improved and speed increased, specialized motorcycle jackets began to appear. They were generally made of leather, which had worked well for pilots in World War I. A close-fitting leather jacket a good protection against wind and fire in case of the plane flame. While not waterproof, leather jackets also provide some protection from rain. Pilots who survived long enough to go on leave soon discovered something else. In addition to being functional, this leather jackets looked great.

Military dispatch riders fortunate enough to a jacket soon learned that the same qualities appreciated fighter pilots also worked on the ground. The Kaiser was defeated, the world was made safe for democracy and motorcycle jacket was born. Postwar America roared through the 1920s and slowed down in the "dirty thirties", but it never stopped. Motorcycles remained popular and useful. They offered a low-cost alternative to cars and drivers enjoyed it enough to continue driving them for recreation. The sport of motor racing gained in popularity and motorcycle jackets was more specialized than ever before. Even the law found them useful and motorcycle jackets appeared with tabs badge, name tag holders and a distinctive uniform appearance.

These jackets were great, but heavy and restrictive compared to modern products like tecknic Sportbike Motorcycle Jacket.

Recreational riders varied their styles, but learning is still the main material from which they were built. Hollywood gave it all a big boost by a young actor named Marlon Brando as the brooding leader of an outlaw motorcycle gang. The black leather motorcycle jacket became a fashion icon next to a functional necessity. Outlaw bikers have found a good motorcycle jacket, a knife or even a small caliber bullet turn. Motor officers "patrolling America's Mean Streets still made the same discoveries.

Fashion icons or not, this old leather jackets are relatively heavy, not waterproof and comfortable only within a narrow temperature range. They still look cool, but not cutting-edge cool. Before you get a sportbike teknic motorcycle jacket. Carefully constructed of the latest materials, these gowns provide all the protection of the elderly in a lighter weight, ultra-cool looking jacket. And, they feel better about a wider range of temperatures and not affect your mobility. They cost less than older jackets. This is the jacket you need if you drive a legend.
